Evans Park Little League Spring 2020 Season Credit Procedure

Evans Park Little League

Spring 2020 Season Credit Procedure

To the Parents/ Guardians of Evans Park Little League Players,                                        August 24, 2020

We understand that many of our volunteers, coaches, managers, players, and parents want to get back to the Little League fields and play - and so do we - but our primary focus is the safety and wellbeing of ALL of our league members, players, and families.

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused some major unforeseen circumstances throughout the world.  I, along with your District 24 Representatives, and City of Riverside P&R, have been meeting every week for quite a few months now, trying to assess the situation, and figure out what the best way to move forward is, given our directives from Little League International, all while staying within the guidelines for our State/County/City and LL District.  We were hoping that the season would resume once the state of California had declared Phase 3 of reopening, which included organized youth sports.  However, that does not look like it will happen soon.

On behalf of the Board of Directors, I would like to thank you for your interest in Evans Park Little League.  We acknowledge your concerns, and are providing Full Transparency of League Funds since we are a Non-Profit Organization.  The following is a breakdown of all costs.  Please feel to reach out should you have any further questions or concerns.

Spring 2020 Per Player Registration was $150.00  For any player returning for the Spring 2021 Season that paid their Spring 2020 registration in full, we will roll over a credit of $100 towards Spring 2021.  We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time, and look forward to seeing you for the Spring 2021 Season!

In order for any credit, etc. to be acknowledged and credited to the proper account, we need everyone to fill out the form as soon as possible by accessing the link below.  This will allow us to properly credit and keep track of all information correctly.

We wish you wellness and good health during these uncertain times, and hope to see you for the next season.

Stay Safe & Healthy!

IMPT NEW BAT INFO!!! PLEASE READ ASAP!!!

Dear Little League Parents and Volunteers,

On Thursday, May 3, USA Baseball informed youth organizations, including Little League, that effective immediately, the bat identified as the Easton Ghost X YBB18GX10 30/20 2 5/8" (or the "Easton Ghost X 30/20 5/8" at retail) has been decertified by USA Baseball and is no longer an approved bat under the USABat Standard. This applies to the 30-inch drop 10 variation of the Easton Ghost X only. Pursuant to Rule 1.10, this is now an illegal bat. At the time of this decertification notice, all other lengths and drops of the Easton Ghost X bat remain approved for play.

All parents, coaches, and umpires must check their bats and remove these bats from play if they are in possession of these bats.

Any questions regarding returns, refunds, or warranty claims for the Easton Ghost X 30/20 should be directed to Easton at ghostreturn@easton.com.

Please visit USABat.com/Decertified-Bats for more information.

FUNDRAISING

This League cannot run off of registrations alone.  The funds we receive from registrations barely cover the cost of lights and field permits, uniforms and umpires.  We rely solely on Fundraising to get us through each season.

Some of the things we have to pay for are:

Field Maintenance and equipment, dirt, chalk, paint, mounds, game balls, practice balls, team equipment and bags, stocking the snack bar, score books, team first aid kits, and so much more.  And we want to save up for our very own SCORE BOARD!!!

While not all of our fundraisers are mandatory, we do ask that you participate in as many as you can.  Adult softball tourney, restaurant nights, and any others we come up with throughout the season.  We can't do this without you!!!

We Thank You for your support and look forward to seeing you and your kids ON THE FIELD!!!!!

PLAY BALL!!!

PROOFS OF RESIDENCY

You must provide THREE (3) Original proofs of residency.

There must be ONE (1) from EACH of the three (3) groups listed below.

They must be dated between Feb 01 of LAST YEAR and Feb 1 of this current year.

They must be originals for bills – and they must include ALL of the pages.  So if your bill says page 1 of 7 (etc.) for example, then we must have ALL SEVEN (7) pages – even if they say intentionally left blank, or they are just ads, etc. We understand we cannot take the original for your vehicle registration, tax items, etc.  If you do not receive paper copies of your bill, then the online bill is fine and considered the original once printed.

The address on the proofs of residency MUST BE THE SAME AS THE REGISTERED ADDRESS OF THE PLAYER.  And they must also be IN THE SAME NAME as the Legal Guardian registering the player.

If there is an issue with the difference of the players last name due to step parents, marriage, etc, then we will also need a copy of the Marriage Certificate in addition to the rest of these items.
